LET THE FUN BEGIN…AS THE IRN-BRU CARNVIAL OPENS
The opening night of IRN-BRU Carnival (December 18 2009) promises festive fun for all the family. There will be street dancing from Random Aspekts, while girl-band The Kennedy Cupcakes will perform some of their favourite numbers, before cutting a ribbon to officially open the IRN-BRU Carnival. Romeo from Radio Clyde will be on hand to get everyone into the festive mood and the first 200 visitors will receive an IRN-BRU Goodie Bag. The entertainment will kick off at 5pm and the rides will start at 6pm.
This year the organisers showed their support for the armed services by donating 1000 tickets for the opening night, so there will be lots of service people, who are on leave, enjoying all the fun of the fair with their families.
Recently named best event of the year, the IRN-BRU Carnival is at the SECC, Glasgow from December 18 until January 10. Prices have been held at 2007 levels (entry price £10 = 10 rides)…making it the ideal festive treat for the credit crunch. This year’s IRN-BRU Carnival will be packed with over 60 fun attractions including Superbowl, Waltzer, Ghost Train and the Dodgems. For thrill seekers rides include Mega Mix, Move It, Drop Zone, Speed Buzz and the brand new Extreme, while for younger visitors there’s the best selection of juvenile rides ever including Cups & Saucers, Wacky Racer Car Track and Chairoplanes. There will also be a fantastic selection of stalls including darts, basketball, hook a duck and Boogie-heads, the latest craze from America where you can star in your very own music DVD.
Further information, opening hours and vouchers are available at www.irn-bru-carnival.com or on 0844 3954000. All tickets include a brochure - RRP £5 – which includes discounted offers at some of Scotland’s top attractions.
